Di propylene glycol or DPG is a type of chemical compound that’s used as the solvent in most fragrances. Di propylene glycol is practically odorless, water-soluble, colorless, hygroscopic and low toxicity. These characteristics make it useful in several different ways in the context of perfumes and personal care products. It can be used as a solvent, a carrier, and because it is essentially odorless even a diluent for perfumes. It is fairly thick as solvents go, so you can use more in Fragrance oils, as Perfume Solvent and in Spray Perfumes. DPG is great to use in perfumes or fragrance body oils. PERFUME SOLVENT: You can use DPG in alcoholic perfumes as Perfume solvent; Mix fragrance oils, DPG, Fixatives, Perfume Alcohol and make it more long lasting.
ATTAR SOLVENT: As a Carrier of fragrance oil without alcohol in a roll on bottle, you wish to carrier 20% of pure Fragrance/Essential oils in a roll-on then put 80% DPG and fill in your bottles (Percentage of Mixing may vary as per requirement).
VERY VERSATILE: Can be used in Perfumes, Colognes, Creams, Lotions, Attar Roll-on, Deodorants, Shampoo, Foams, Gels, Bath and Shower products.
