عورت کی حقیقی آزادی، اس کے مقام اور اس کی استعداد کی روحانی، معنوی اور مادی اہمیت کو اسلام نے ظاہر کیا ہے۔ اسلام وہ پہلا مذہب ہے جس نے مکمل طور پر عورت کے حقوق کو قائم کیا اور اسے مذہبی اور روحانی لحاظ سے مرد کے مساوی قرار دیا ہے۔ تمدنی زندگی میں عورت کی مستقل اور نمایاں حیثیت قائم کی اور اس کے مالکانہ اختیارات کا اعلان کیا۔ عورت کی ذمہ داریوں اور اس کے حقوق کو مقدس فریضہ کے طور پر آسمانی کتاب کا جزو بنایا ہے۔ اسلام نے عورت کے احترام اور اس کی عزت کو ہر حیثیت میں نہ صرف قائم کیا بلکہ ازدواجی تعلق کو ایک مقدس رشتہ اور پاکیزہ عہد قرار دیا ہے۔ قرآن کی ہدایات اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کے ارشادات کی روشنی میں عورتیں مقدس نسوانیت کے ارتقائی منازل کو حاصل کرتی رہی ہیں اور رہتی دنیا تک یہ سلسلہ جاری رہے گا۔
